Bali: My Second Home & How It Can Be Yours Too

Living in Perth most of my life, I’ve been to Bali more times than I’ve had flat whites—and that’s saying something.

The real benefit of booking your Bali trip with me? I’ve been helping clients, friends, and family plan their perfect Bali holidays for over 40 years. That’s four decades of dodging dodgy deals, discovering hidden gems, and knowing exactly which beach bar has the best sunset view (and the coldest Bintang).

My first trip to Bali was way back in 1986. I booked a 7-night package with Qantas flights, return airport transfers, and breakfast at the Kuta Palace Hotel. Back then, it felt like Legian was practically the edge of the Earth. Now? It’s smack bang in the middle of the action – proof that Bali changes, but the magic stays the same.

Since then, I’ve stayed in Tuban, Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Uluwatu, Nusa Dua, Sanur, Ubud – and yes, I’ve even ventured off the beaten path to places like Tanah Lot, Kintamani, Monkey Forest, Nusa Lembongan, Lombok, Candi Dasa, and I have even tried white water rafting and Zip lining (once… and only once. Let’s just say I prefer my adventures with a cocktail in hand).

Every time I go, I do something a little different. That’s the beauty of Bali – it’s never the same trip twice. Whether you’re after luxury villas, family-friendly resorts, Beach Clubs, yoga retreats, surf spots, or just a really good nasi goreng, I know where to send you.

And here’s a little insider tip: I have a trusted local driver on WhatsApp who looks after me and my clients like we’re royalty. He knows the shortcuts, the best warungs, and won’t take you to a “special shop” unless you actually want to go.  But we do get a “special” price!

So if you’re thinking about Bali – whether it’s your first time or your fifteenth – let me help you plan a trip that’s more than just a holiday. It’ll be an experience you’ll talk about for years (and I’ll make sure you avoid the rookie mistakes, like forgetting to pack mozzie spray or trying to haggle at a fixed-price store).
