Skiing Adventures in Canada – Travel Photo Album By Amanda Anthony
Canada is a dream destination for skiers and snowboarders, offering some of the best snow, vast terrain, and breathtaking mountain landscapes.
On my recent trip, I explored both Whistler Blackcomb and Sun Peaks, each offering a unique experience that showcases why Canada is a world-class winter playground. From endless runs to cozy alpine villages, the scenery, atmosphere, and local flavours are simply unforgettable.
Whistler Blackcomb – Big Mountain Thrills
Whistler Blackcomb impressed with its sheer size, diverse runs, and stunning panoramic views. Every day brought something new – steep groomers, powder-filled bowls and perfectly maintained trails for all levels. After skiing, I loved relaxing in the village with a hot chocolate or a locally brewed craft beer, soaking in the lively après-ski scene that makes Whistler so special.
Sun Peaks – Relaxed Charm and Powder
Sun Peaks offered a more laid-back vibe, with tree-lined runs, short lift lines, and incredible powder days that made skiing feel effortless and joyful. The village has a welcoming, small-town atmosphere, perfect for wandering after a day on the slopes. I especially enjoyed cozying up with warm drinks and sampling hearty Canadian comfort food, making every evening as memorable as the runs themselves.
Both resorts left me in awe of Canada’s winter magic—and I can’t wait to return!
