The Real Morocco – Travel Photo Album By Robyn Dredge
I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Morocco, and it was an experience I’ll never forget.
From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this was going to be far from your typical tourist trip.
We kicked things off in Marrakech, exploring the Medina with a local guide who led us through hidden corners of the city you wouldn’t find on your own. The markets were buzzing with energy, and the street food was unreal. One of my favourite moments was sitting down with a local family to share a traditional meal. It really gave me a deeper connection to the culture.
The highlight of the trip was definitely the Sahara Desert. Riding camels into the dunes and spending the night under the stars in a Berber camp was absolutely surreal. We ate dinner around a fire, listened to stories from the locals, and just soaked in the quiet beauty of the desert.
The Atlas Mountains were just as unforgettable. We hiked through remote Berber villages, met some of the warmest people, and saw a way of life that’s remained largely unchanged for centuries.
What I loved most about travelling on this group tour with Intrepid, was how they really focused on authentic experiences. It wasn’t just about sightseeing – it was about connecting with the local people and culture in a meaningful way.
If you’re looking for a trip that’s more than just checking off tourist spots, I highly recommend Intrepid in Morocco. It’s an adventure that stays with you long after you’ve returned.
